Can you remember the last time you attended a pajama party? Before last weekend, I would have had to think long and hard because it had been a hot minute. Unless you count the New Years Eve Pajama Jam a few years back which was pretty fun! I’m talking about the get together with your girlfriends, do each other’s hair, read magazines, facials, giggling….the whole slumber party type of pajama party bit. Chances are, it’s been awhile. So last weekend I tapped into my inner child, along with some local blogger babes, and we came away with a night of fun behind us and some take home tips to better sleep that I can share with you!

Tips for Better Sleep and a Blogger Pajama Party
This all went down at a local Mattress Firm, which means we got to gallivant around on a variety of beds and mattresses. It was fun to see how some of us gravitated towards a firm mattress vs. soft, etc. As with any good party, there is snacking to be had, and we were supplied with super scrumptious doughnuts and cupcakes provided by Mighty-O and Trophy. Sound Kombucha and Dry Sparkling Soda kept us hydrated as we laughed throughout the night.
Then come the pajamas! Not just any pajamas, the super-soft and (in my case) onesie kind. I was definitely apprehensive about trying to get into one of these with this extremely long (and pregnant!) body. Much to my surprise, they fit! Which meant that I could rock those fleece, pink, footed pajamas to my heart’s content. I can’t wait to pull them out for a winter function with friends :). The company, Big Feet PJ’s, is also a local one that’s making a big splash nationwide. It looks like onesies may soon be on trend?!.
What else does one do at a pajama party? We had facials, hand massages, got our dreams interpreted, and got our hair did at the Gary Manuel Braid Bar (which included flowers from the Stemmery)! I’m not very good at braiding hair and when I say not good, I really mean I’m awful. So I’m always game if I find someone who has skills in that department. I have to say this is the first time that I’ve had flowers weaved throughout though.
Although the pajama party was tons of fun, what I really want to share with you are the tips for better sleep! More and more, research is discovering how crucial getting good quality sleep is. It can feel like that elusive unicorn if you ask me :). Here are some simple tips that you can do starting tonight to help you get those zzzzs!
