A quick glance at my Instagram account of late, and you’ll see there are an unusual amount of flowers. Don’t get me wrong; I love flowers. But they rarely fill my feed. However, this year winter seemed to last forever. Seattle is already known for its perpetual gray and it lived up to every expectation. It was also bone-chillingly cold, and the type of wet that burrows its way into your bones. I was not surprised in the least when Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. Spring seemed like an eternity away.
Cherry blossoms are one of my first indicators that spring is either near or here and I can’t tell you the glee I experienced at the first sight of those beautiful, pink blossoms this year. Being that it’s April, I really want to enjoy and marinate in earth month and this spring as much as possible. One way I’m doing that is by celebrating with a new accessory and spring wardrobe piece. Read on to see why JORD women’s watches are the perfect way to celebrate spring!

Spring is Blooming with JORD
Watches Made From Wood
In my opinion, spring often gets overlooked. It doesn’t have the fanfare of fall, the holiday craze of winter, or the excitement of summer, but it brings so many things to look forward to. New life, more color, warmer temperatures, birds chirping and the promise that things are going to get better. At least, that’s how I look at it :). It’s also my birthday season (hoorah for May babies!), and this year it means I’m super close to bringing a new life into this world as well. Yikes!
Mother nature starts to show off in the spring, so what better way to embrace it than with a natural wood accessory and the ruffled, floral, trend? Oh, and a few background cherry blossoms don’t hurt either :).
I’ve had my eyes on JORD women’s watches for some time. In the style community they’re spotted often, and are a really unique watch. With it being earth month, I thought it was about time I added this classic, natural wood piece into my wardrobe. It did not disappoint either; the dark sandalwood is absolutely gorgeous and the slate face is going to look good with just about everything.
Up until this year, I had kind of stopped wearing watches altogether. Being attached to my cell phone usually means that I always know the time. I started wearing them again really to spruce up outfits and add to my ever-growing arm candy collection. Now, I wear a women’s watch almost every day! Not only do they look good but I think it allows me to not be so phone-focused and live in the moment a bit more.
As for the rest of my spring ensemble? This top makes me swoon for spring with its flowers, ruffles, and off the shoulder trend. It also helps disguise the baby bump ;-). Add in some denim, fun sandals, and my trusty bomber jacket that hasn’t left my side due to the crazy weather, and I have my perfect spring outfit. Side note; layer, always layer. Especially here in the PNW!
