A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of celebrating some babies on the way with this community of bloggers I’ve come to love. Whose babies? Kusum, Sarah and oh, yeah, me. What?! Is this actually happening? I had to pinch myself a couple of times that this was all very real. I revealed my pregnancy on Instagram but haven’t written about it yet here. So what better time to kick off this topic than with a blogger baby shower? Technically, it was more of a celebration than a shower but it had all the makings of what bloggers are all about. Friendship, sweet bites, good conversation, style, and a little swag.

How Bloggers Baby Shower
With any event, finding the right location is key. Kusum reached out to Kendra Scott and they were thrilled to host our celebration at their venue in Bellevue. If you haven’t heard of Kendra Scott, I’d bet you’d recognize her signature pieces that have been everywhere the last few years.
Their jewelry matched my outfit perfectly and they even let us moms-to-be create an accessory of our choosing at their Color Bar. It was so fun personalizing jewelry to fit my tastes. If you find yourself in a Kendra Scott store you should definitely play around at the Color Bar!
First off, the bumps. Two obviously are a lot more pronounced than the other 🙂 But I’ll get there, right? I’m due toward the end of June and Kusum and Sarah are due this month and next. My bump sort of “popped” (as I guess they say) just in time for this shower because it had been pretty subdued until this very week.
It’s pretty special that in our blogger circle we would all be expecting at the same time, so we thought we’d celebrate together. With other wonderful blogger babes of course :).
Kendra Scott provided some sweet treats to go along with a mimosa bar and Zico kept us refreshed sans alcohol 🙂
And since no blogger event is complete without added beauty, First & Bloom (flowers) and Holcomb Weddings and Events (decorations) were there to take our event up an elegant notch. I also found the cutest sign off Etsy that I thought was simple and perfect.
Bloggers often talk about how the community is a big reason we love what we do. That community also involves all the different brands and people that we collaborate with, not just other bloggers. Relationships are formed and often times those companies are more than willing to be a part of celebrations and events. If you’re a blogger, I’d encourage you to invite the brands you love into your life!
Every blogger knows that no event is complete without some sort of swag bag and we were amped to include some goodies from Kendra Scott as well as Fresh products! You’ll remember how I fell in love with Fresh at the Blogger Tea :). I’ve been especially paranoid about what I put on my skin since I’ve been pregnant and I love knowing a product line that I can trust.
All in all, our blogger baby event was a big success. I never would have thought three years ago that this passion of mine would lead me to this place. Bloggers, bling and baby bumps. What more could a girl want? Third trimester, here I come!
