Favoring Friday – Olympics Edition

Happy Friday! I apologize for the inconsistency of these Friday posts; the summer has been nuts and it’s not looking to get any better. But I’m back  today, and really feeling the Olympics! No surprise, I’ve loved them for as long as I can remember. I stay up too late, cry more than I should, and get all kinds of inspired. What’s not to love?

Brazilian Cheese Bread from OliviasCuisine.com.

What better way to be in Brazil without actually being in Brazil, ammIright? ;-). Just slip your swimsuit on and play The Girl From Ipanema in the background.

Soiree Event Designs threw this amazing Olympic themed party for Oriental Trading Company and I’m in awe of it. Truly. She has the gift of party planning more than anyone I’ve known!

Family Bite’s Olympic Torches are too cute. There are actually a few torch inspired recipes on Pinterest but these caught my eye. I’m sure eating them is totally the same as carrying the torch, right?!

How hilarious are these USA sweat bands? Even if you’re rooting your team from home, these band boys (hehe) will tap into your ‘Murica like nothing else!

USA Armbands

This probably makes me a mean person but this video had me laughing so hard tears were rolling down my face. So it’s not from Rio (even though the viral video says as much), it’s from a competition last year. No matter who was diving like this, it would have tickled my funny bone because that’s my twisted sense of humor. I also read somewhere that these guys did it on purpose to protest low funding. Which only makes it slightly less funny. Watch the faces and the high fives!

Pretty quick and simple this week but I hope they made you smile. Any other Olympic lovers out there? What has been your favorite part so far? Let me know in the comments and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

  1. Pan de queo!!! (I think that’s how it’s spelled properly.) Texas de Brazil, a restaurant, gives out the best cheesy bread!!! I could eat my weight in that stuff.
