Happy first Friday of June! I hope this last week went by quickly with it being a shorter week, and that you are spending this weekend ahead doing all the things you love. I had a productive and semi-laid back kind of week and things are starting to ramp up tomorrow, so I’m enjoying it while I can!
I feel like the news this last week was extra heavy, with shootings and plane crashes, and all kinds of ICK. After taking some time to honor those lives lost and pray for the craziness going on in the world, I’m going to keep on with these Friday posts, because while somewhat shallow, they still cause me to be thankful and excited for the little things in life that bring happiness. And sometimes, that is sorely needed.
Without further ado..

This would have been perfect for Global Running Day. Had I only run….. 😉
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! I’ve found another outlet for my chai obsession and it screams of summer. These Chai Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches from Raising Whasians combine so much goodness I can’t even take it:).
Favorite Fashion Find
The Half-Yearly Sale at Nordstrom is still going strong, and by strong I mean I have to pull myself away because there are way too many tempting deals. Like these shoes. I actually had these in my cart before they went on sale for 30%. Currently 79.90, they get great reviews and I love the look. Unfortunately, they are a need and not a want so they may have to stay my cart a while yet. I wanted to share the love though because they are a steal!

Favorite New Toy
This Mini Portable Photo Printer. You guys. My friend Crissa got me one of these cuties for my birthday and it’s so fun! You just plug it into your phone (or some connect to WiFi) and then you can print out small pictures of anything. Favorite Insta moment? Now you have it in your hands and not just in your feed. Even though I wanted to shake it like a Polaroid picture when I first printed them out (making me feel super old, haha) it doesn’t even need drying time. It’s like old school meets new school all in the pocket of your purse :).
A little late in coming, but I got to spend some time with my adorable godson for his birthday last week. Life gets altogether too busy sometimes, so it was such a treat to get in some quality time. I even worked on my toy building skills, which sadly are a little underdeveloped.
That’s all folks! Get out there and enjoy the fresh air, friendship, and all those things that we take for granted day after day! Have a great weekend:).
