Good morning! I’m back with a fresh new year, and lots of weekending up ahead:). I hope that you are all getting back into the swing of your post-holiday routine without too many groans and sighs. Even with the excitement of a new year it can be still be tough to wake up early on that first Monday morning :}.
To catch up, part of our holidays were in Montana where we had a beautiful White Christmas and spent some quality time with Eric’s family.
New Year’s was back in Seattle, where we celebrated on a boat for a friend’s B-day. It was the best of both worlds, having a front row seat to the space needle without having the crowd factor. It was freezing, but a fun way to ring in 2016! The them was early 2000’s, which was harder than I thought it would be. I ended up going in a pink polo and jeans ala Lindsey Lohan in Mean Girls, but I feel like I could have taken it up a notch more if I had more time :).
The rest of our weekend was at a friend’s place in Leavenworth that we frequently visit. Leavenworth is modeled after Bavaria, and is extremely popular during the holidays. Lately when we go we avoid the crowds all together and stay in the warm cabin or play out in the snow. The last few years there hasn’t been enough snow to snowmobile, and this year there was an abundance!!
Of course the weekend ended with an awesome Seahawk win against the Cardinals heading into the playoffs so it ended in the best possible way.
Did you catch my Word of the Year and reader survey? I would LOVE your input in shaping how I can make this year even better for you in the blog world. It’s super quick, and you can take it again below (pretty please!).

How was your New Years weekend? Are you a snow-seeker?
