Do you struggle with your workouts as the days get shorter?
If you’re anything like me you may have been
nibbling gorging on leftover Halloween candy looking to get back on track with your workouts. This last summer I really took advantage of the weather and spent a lot of time walking outside. Now the days are shorter, the temp is cooler, and the wetness is…everywhere :(. So in an effort to get myself off the couch before it perpetually sucks me in for the winter, I’m putting together my favorite total body home workouts. Because sometimes the thought of even driving to the gym is too much!
All these home workout videos are between 25-40 minutes, and aren’t too complicated though you will definitely work up a sweat! Two of them require equipment, but most of them can be done at home without anything needed but you. Of course they are all free so if you find one that you like, they usually have multiple videos from the same source. Let’s get moving!
Top 10 Home Workouts Perfect For a Rainy Day
1) Body Rock Videos
I have a (super toned) girlfriend who is a Body Rock addict. They have tons of online videos for all fitness levels. Don’t let their rock hard abs intimidate you because these workouts will leave you feeling ultra accomplished!
2) Tone It Up Workouts
I probably could have picked 10 home workouts just from the Tone it Up girls alone. I adore them, and they have a knack for making workouts almost fun!
3) Jillian Michaels Yoga
You know you’re always going to get beat up with Jillian, even if it’s yoga :).
4) Fit Sugar 40 Minute Total Body Workout
5) At Home Barre Workout
I love Barre Workouts. They seem to target specific muscles, and make me feel like an (awkward) ballerina.
6) POP Pilates for Beginners Total Body Workout
7) Tone it Up Kettlebell Workout
You can get kettlebells many places now. Currently I upgraded to a 15 lbs kettlebell after a personal trainer patient of mine laughed at my 5 pounder :).
8) 30 Minute Intermediate Workout
9) 30 Minute Full Body Workout with an Exercise and Stability Ball
10) Denise Austin’s 30 Minute Total Body Dance Video
There should be no excuses now, right (my pep talk to myself)? Pin this for future reference, and let me know what your favorite home workouts are! Any tips for staying motivated as the short days set in?
