Hello Monday! Can’t say I wanted to see you so soon, but here you are so let’s make the best of it with some weekending fun ;-).
Are you a fan of ghost stories? How about pumpkins and games?
Book Club on Friday reviewed our latest read A Sudden Light: A Novel, which was a ghost story that took place in Seattle. Come back Wednesday to find out more about this book, but it definitely was a good month to read it in! We mixed this meeting with a creative pumpkin sesh, and rather than carving we painted, bedazzzled, and washi taped to our hearts content. All while trying to talk about the book:).
Here are some of the finished products!
Then there was my crayon pumpkin I named Harvey Dent, because one side was decent…and the other not so much.
You can see the rest of the creations on Wednesday if you’re looking for ideas this year!
After pumpkins, E and I stayed up super late binging on Arrow, but I can happily say that it was worth it (and that we are caught up!). Then I slept till 11:30 the next day which I haven’t done in ages. I didn’t even think I could do it anymore.
We then got together with friends again to play a new game SUPERFIGHT, which was a blast. Basically, you draw a character along with its attributes, and go head to head in a verbal debate against your opponent and his/her character on who would win a battle. It was pretty hilarious.
As for Sunday. Church was great and football…not so great. You really don’t want any pictures of this face after my team blew another 4th quarter lead at home. At least spending time with my family and enjoying yummy cauliflower soup added goodness to the day!
Wishing you all a productive and happy week!
