This is not a sponsored post. They simply let me in the door so I could share the love. All opinions from this ginger are mine alone.
Hang around this site long enough and you’ll find out that I love being a redhead. So when I heard that the Rock It Like A Redhead Tour was stopping in Seattle I highlighted it in pink. That’s when you know it’s big time:). Basically it is a night of music, fashion and beauty all tailored to us of the ginger variety. Seattle was their only west coast stop too!
Ever wonder what a freckle fest looks like up close and personal? Look no further 🙂
After walking the red carpet to get in and stopping at a picture perfect back drop, I was face to face with many of the products I’ve had my eyes on for some time. Namely the new brow gel tailored just for my barely colored brows. Basically they are invisible. I even had one of the founding sisters show me exactly how to use it, and of course she understood my pain. The struggle is real!
I grabbed some brow gel and assorted hair accessories (bobby pins that blend in? I can’t even…) then indulged in some food and drink while the DJ set the mood.
This ginger beer (non alcoholic) was surprisingly not overwhelming and was really, really good!
The DJ wasn’t the only source of music, because red-haired artists Katrina Stone and Shayne Leighton entertained and delighted.
There was a VIP lounge with your own personal masseuse, and outside the VIP area was beauty row (as I coined it). One could get their hair did, nails done or clothes styled. If you could think of it, it was there, and all tailored for red hair. It was pretty packed, but pretty perfect.
The founders (and sisters) of How To Be A Redhead/Rock It Like A Redhead Tour Stephanie and Adrienne Vendetti were not only super adorable in person, but they were also super sweet and hands on. They already have had so much success; their first book comes out soon and they started the first subscription boxes made just for …you guessed it…redheads. Where were they when I was young? Oh yeah, probably not born yet :).
Throughout the event there was also several fashion shows. I loved the energy and fun that the models brought to the night.
Very sadly, I did not get a swag bag. Part of me wishes I would just have gone as a guest so I could unlock those treasures and tell you all about them:(. Alas no swag bag to be had, but I didn’t go home completely empty handed. I left feeling more empowered about one of the things that make me unique.
Turns out Ginger Kids do have souls after all. And they’re rockin’:).
