Happy Monday beautiful people! How were your weekends? Mine was actually pretty low-key which was more than okay!
Friday I ran some errands which included stopping at Papyrus. I really do love that store, and found the cutest stationary/thank you cards/gift bag set! Turns out that Strawberry Shortcake turned 35 this year. So we’re pretty much the same age, which is perfect since I grew up
thinking I was loving her and even had a matching dress. I didn’t buy it but am thinking I need to go back! Did any of us expect her to turn out anything other than posh? With the coolest friends of course!
The evening brought football back into my life! I know it’s only preseason but it’s still football. My two fantasy leagues are in the works again and I’m getting excited! For those of you that are new to this blog I do a weekly sports update series. I cover the highlights of multiple sports, but the focus is on football. With heavy favoritism shown to my Seattle Seahawks. Not that I’m biased…
Saturday was monthly potluck day with some friends. The theme was ‘Merica. The food was abundant, the laughs were plentiful, and the sound of all the kids playing together was pretty sweet.
I ended up making Buffalo Chicken Meatballs that I highly recommend to anyone! The recipe recommends to stuff them with feta. I ended up using jalapeño pepperjack and they were still really good! I may have picked up some KFC biscuits on the way as well. It was the only non-homemade thing on the menu, but how much more ‘Merica Am I Right?
As for the rest of the weekend, besides church we had free time! To honor National Relaxation Day I went to bed early for once. I know I can’t catch up on lost sleep but it sure felt great:). We caught up on some shows, accomplished some errands, and stopped at a bread tour truck for an upcoming post. There is something so comforting about fresh-baked bread!
What did your weekend look like? Have a great week!!
