I have a feeling this year will be mellow. I don’t have the urge to overflow my calendar like normal, and I feel content just being. It’s actually very strange. Coincidentally, I have seen many great posts recently on recommended reads, and I wanted to share some of those with you before diving in myself. Hello my comfy, page-turning, literature-filled year!
Best Books of 2014 and 2015 Reading Goals from fellow Seattlelite Jenn at Hello Rigby is one of my favorites. She read 100 books last year and is setting a goal for 150 this year. That’s insane and amazing, and I hope to read even a fraction of that in 2015.
Buzz Feed’s 21 Books To Read Before They Hit The Big Scree in 2015 will keep you in the know.
These Non-Fiction Reads from Middle Places, because I need to read more non-fiction and never know where to start!
I’m not a mother yet, but I love Mighty Girl and their Top 150 Read Aloud Books Starring Mighty Girls (rec. for girls aged 9 and up).
NPR’s Best Books of 2014 is about as comprehensive a list as you will find.
What fun would all that reading be without a challenge? Geeky Zoo Girl is hosting a Blogger Book Challenge and lists 100 recommended reads along with a Goodreads list as well. I’m signed up for Platinum level, which is 25 books for this year.
Secretly I am hoping to read more than 25, but I’m trying to make my goals manageable. I’m also determined to finally read the Bible in one year. This is that year – I can feel it.
With all these choices I have no reason to feel guilty for nights in:). What are your favorite reads? Any plans for 2015?
