I’m going to make my life easier and combine my weekend review with my weekly wishes:).
Friday started off with a much need deep-tissue massage which is a necessity for my job since I’m hunched over all day, and one that I LOVE. After some errands and my weekly United Way gig reading to the little cuties, I had an impromptu date night at Talarico’s with Dimples! Finding out about the Percy Harvin trade caused me to spend way too much time on Twitter, and I also figured out my costume for this year so I started working on that.
Saturday technically I pulled a near all-nighter Friday/Sat morning baking for Saturday’s brunch and church bake sale that I helped at early in the morning. I planned on starting them late so they would be more fresh in the morning, but I didn’t do the math and cinnamon rolls take a bit of time. Whoops.
Brunch was with good friends from high school. We try to all get together at least a couple of times a year, and this time we got to meet the newest baby of the bunch who is too cute for words! Always special to connect to your past and keep those friendships going. Most of the kiddos were happy being in costume!
I was so spent after the long night baking and a busy day that I passed out for a bit before settling in for a particularly spooky Ghost Adventures with Dimples.
Sunday Early service church then a day of football. Super depressing, heart wrenching football.
Now for the Weekly Wishes at The Nectar Collective
Last week was pretty nuts (Another car breaking down and health issues) and any plans I had were thoroughly disrupted, but that’s not going to stop me from trying to do it better this week!
Last Week’s Wishes
Give the house a thorough cleaning. I started on the downstairs, but have to give myself a D here:(.
Figure out what we are doing for Halloween. Check! I decided to throw an intimate Halloween Murder Mystery Party!
Pick a dish to make for a brunch with friends. Yes, I made these Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Buns for the brunch and a bake sale I helped with that morning. Did you know there is such a thing as “White Whole Wheat Flour”? I had white flour and wheat flour, but didn’t realize there was a White Whole Wheat!
