One of the big reasons that fall is my favorite season is because of its fashion. Here are my top 10 fall fashion pieces.
Booties are very in this season, and I like pretty much all boots, but the taller the better as far as I’m concerned! Being tall it’s hard to truly find a “thigh-high” boot, but the search will continue. I do have a pair that reaches the top of my knee:).
2. Leggings and Long Socks
My favorite layering piece, leggings can be worn with all kinds of shoes from boots to Tom’s, under bulky sweaters, dresses, coats, the list goes on. They also can come in multiple textures, which are perfect for fall. And long songs are just fun and essential for boots.
Infinity, long or short, scarfs give you that cozy yet pulled-together look. I have several from Grace and Lace like the one below as well as several pairs of their oh-so-soft Alpine socks.
4. Suede and Leather
I love the luxurious feel of these fabrics, which are found on anything from head to toe.
5. Long Sweaters/Wraps
When it’s chilly not freezing I can get by with wearing a long comfy sweater instead of a coat. I have a black one I got from Nordstrom Rack that I have nearly worn into the ground. They are just so comfy!
Love them, and the ones where you can flip the top down and free your fingers go perfectly with holding Starbucks. Warmth on warmth!
7. Earth Tones
Sure there a lot of colors represented this season, but traditionally you will find all shade of brown, dark green, mustard yellow, brick-red,etc. Earth tones tend to flatter my ginger look wayyy more than jewel tones.
There are some great looks flying around this season. Free People has some great hats and ideas of how to wear them (with the rest of their essential fall pieces).
9. Sweaters & Sweater Dresses
I run cold nearly year round so I’m a happy girl when wearing a sweater is socially acceptable. Thin and layered, or bulky with some skinny jeans, bring on the knit!
Again, it’s that perfect season where your coat doesn’t have to be a ski jacket! Long with fur, colorful, or fancy. It’s time to wrap up!
How do you do fall?
