At the beginning of the summer there was a key item I intended to add to my wardrobe that I never got around to. It’s tragic really, because although this fashion season displays a LOT of trends I am not a fan of (Hello 1996), there is one specific trend right now that I adore.
Enter the crop top. This isn’t your crop top from the 90’s, it’s a more updated, feminine and classier version. With the rise of high waist everything, there are tons of great options to pair the crop tops with. Personally, I am a fan of pairing it with skirts. Full maxi ones, sleek short ones, and everything in between. There are so many different lengths and styles that you can tailor it to your body. Don’t love your stomach? Find a high waist skirt or shorts, and a long crop top that just shows a small band of skin. I think less can be more here whatever your body type.
The one I’ve had in my shopping cart since the beginning of summer. Nordstrom Crop Top Cami
The lace one I found recently. I am enamored with lace in pretty much any form, so I approve of this marriage! Look what Blair Eadie from Atlantic-pacific did with it (as originally seen on WhoWhatWear.com)!
Where to get it. Topshop Lace Mesh Bralette
Without further ado, here is what I found today that I wasted no time ordering!
I love soft, flowy, Bohemian-like styles, and this dress by Free People made my heart flutter. Free People is my go-to for anything BoHo. I initially was worried that there wouldn’t be enough sun to wear it in, but then I thought of all the ways I could wear this dress in the autumn, With a big chunky sweater, over leggings, or with boots. It’s under $100 and comes in other great styles. If you love soft, versatile dresses that shout femininity like me, definitely check this out. Warning: you may find yourself lost on their site for hours due to all the fabulous styles!
That’s it for today. Get your crop tops while you can, and run to the slip dress!
Have a great weekend~
